Otani WM1000: Tires recall
NHTSA campaign 26T015000 · 84 units potentially affected · filed Oct 28, 2026
What's wrong
Foreign Tire Sales, Inc (Foreign Tire) is recalling certain Otani tires, size 235/65R-16(C). The tire tread may separate. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
Why it matters
Tread separation may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Foreign Tire will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning November 2, 2026. Owners may contact Foreign Tire’s customer service at 1-908-687-0559.
